WATA

About WATALUX

Swiss engineering. Built for the field.

WATALUX is a Geneva-based social enterprise developing and distributing decentralized chlorine production solutions for safe water, healthcare and humanitarian response.

Born from more than a decade of research, WATA technology enables chlorine to be produced locally from water, salt and electricity — where it is actually needed.

Our story

From research to the field.

  1. Early 2000s

    Research

WATA technology emerges from research led by the Antenna Foundation in Geneva, exploring decentralized electrochlorination as a practical solution for safe water.

  2. 10+ years

    Develop & prove

A decade of R&D and field experience transforms the concept into a range of simple electrochlorination systems designed for demanding operating environments.

  3. 2018

    WATALUX is born

WATALUX SA is created as a spin-off to bring WATA from research into a dedicated commercial and industrial structure, while preserving its social-impact mission.

  4. Today

    Scale the impact

WATALUX develops, produces and distributes WATA solutions internationally. Systems are assembled in Geneva with a local social-integration partner, then deployed through customers, humanitarian organizations and a growing network of local partners.
